Small Gold Bowl Studs

Ripples and Reflections was inspired my beloved walks at a dam close to my home in Windhoek. I have been going to this dam weekly, if not daily for many years. Walking there as a newly wed, walking with a puppy, walking with a baby belly, walking with a baby, walking with more babies, with a new puppy, with new shoes, old shoes, family, friends, heavy heart, happy heart, anxious, broken and content. This dam has become a place I have learnt to reflect on my thoughts and feelings. A space that is very hard to find or create in an ever increasing noisy world. On some days the mountains reflect on the mirror like water. That is a calm day. On other days there are many birds and children throwing rocks or dogs chasing sticks. Then there are ripples. Those are the busy days. An important lesson I am learning, through all these years and walks, is that life consists of reflections and ripples. Times of calm and times of disruptions.  A time for everything. And I keep walking.
